houston....we have a problem

my oh my!
if ever there was a day for the tramatic events that occured at cdi today to happen...today was not the day! we had a HUGE bid going on today and to add to that excitement, it was an e-bid (all done on via internet...obviously). well, on top of that, here at cdi, our fax machine is hooked up to my computer, so every fax we get comes through the server onto my computer, then i email it to whoever it goes to...well, today around 10:30am our server and network CRASHED! so with that, most of our computers. being that all the bids for this job were coming in via fax...and it was hooked to my computer...which was shut down...because of server crash...was not a good sign! talk about crazy...this afternoon got NUTS! we had executives running around like chickens with their heads cut off! besides the fact that we could lose the job without being able to bid, it was really quite comical! we finally got the fax machine un-attached to from my computer so it would spit out paper copies, and that settled that. then our IT guy got the executives who were doing the bidding some air-cards, so they had some internet...and that fixed that! so all in all, it worked itself out. we eventually got the systems back up and running and all is well! but what an eventful day! lol! oh...and side note, it is now 4pm...and our IT guy just informed me he's leaving for lunch...so sad! :(

please pray for me tonight. me and the rest of our leadership team are supposed to be sharing our goals and hopes for our campus ministry at Metro tonight. i am excited about sharing, but also a little nervous! just pray that God would speak through me tonight!
